MamuBabu is a small business that was started by Jessica Gold during the 2020 pandemic shutdown. Initially, it was established on Etsy as a print on demand shop, focusing on creating and selling humorous face mask designs and wire wrapped jewelry. It soon grew into more of a niche shop offering spiritual services such as psychic cold photo readings as well as curating herb kits and other metaphysical products. When the world opened back up after the pandemic, Jessica was back to work as a bench jeweler sizing wedding rings, replacing stones, repairing chains, managing custom designs, cleaning and polishing fine jewelry pieces. Her love for spiritual and occult knowledge lead her to study Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) which to her surprise, involved utilizing specific gemstones in jewelry pieces to strengthen one’s birth chart. With her passion for jewelry design and Vedic Astrology, she decided to combine these two worlds into the unique service of Permanent Jewelry.
